We are looking for an experienced safety officer to assist in ensuring a safe working environment on construction sites by supporting the implementation and monitoring of health and safety policies and procedures. Main Responsibilities Include - Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations. - Monitor the use of safety equipment and ensure it is in good, working condition. - Assist in conducting risk assessments to identify and evaluate potential risks on the construction site. - Recommend and implement preventative measures to mitigate identified risks. - Provide basic safety training and education to workers and contractors. - Ensure all staff members are aware of and understand safety protocols and procedures. - Prepare detailed incident reports and perform root cause analysis to prevent future occurrences. - Investigate accidents and near-misses to identify areas for improvement. - Support the development and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures. - Ensure compliance with occupational health and safety (OHS) guidelines and regulations. - Liaise with site managers, supervisors, and workers to promote a culture of safety. - Provide feedback and suggestions for improving safety measures on-site.
