The achievers and courageous challenge-crushers we seek, have the following characteristics and skills:Functional Safety Engineer: Job Description Roles & Responsibilities :  HAZOP-LOPA review and safety instrumented function list generation, along with risk-reduction factors required, and delivered. Model any newly identified functions in aeShield and carrying out IL (integrity level) calculations. Model any ILa or other instrumented IPLs. Update any functions in aeShield as required by LOPA changes. Remove any functions from aeShield where the LOPA no longer requires them. Highlight gaps for any safety or environmental functions in the LOPA that cannot meet targets highlighted. Utilise aeShield / aeFacilitator as the Safety Requirement Specification (SRS) after confirming all required changes have been incorporated. Specify a minimum frequency of any outage dependent testing Update Maintenance systems (SAP, etc.), test procedures, etc.  Required Qualifications & Competencies:  Engineering degree (Mechanical/Instrumentation) 8+ yrs oil gas experience in related industry (refining/petrochemical/LNG/oil&gas) TUV-certification, CFSE, application of functional safety to real-world problems Experience with Instrumentation equipments Good interpersonal skills and working collaboratively with the other teams Experience with Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Good communication (written and verbal) in interacting with multinational customers/ site engineers and in answering technical queries. Maintains project database and adherence to company/customer quality assurance process. Should be able to train and mentor junior team member by creating training material and conducting training sessions. Required Soft Skills: Able to prepare information and communication in a clear and concise manner for different audiences Thinks clearly during rapidly changing situations and respond to questions even when unexpected Values and is ready to learn from different points of view Knows how organizations and industry works and how to obtain results through formal channels and informal networks Comprehends and integrates available data into usable formats to assist with work; Asks questions to understand problems and gathers information needed to identify cause Desired skills:  ​​​​​​​Meets quality standards in executing tasks and assures that all details of a given task are accomplished Shows resilience and works effectively after a setback or disappointment to adjust and pursue goals until they are achieved
