Job Description Position Summary: SSII, an US based medical devices company engaged in developing and manufacturing class II & III Surgical Robots is seeking a Head -Supply Chain Management for its Gurgaon, India location. This role leads the SSII Supply Chain functions in India, a talented group of professionals who work with and manage suppliers, to assure SSII development, costing, schedules and production priorities are maintained and deliver Quality Products that exceed customer expectations. Continuous clear communication with the supplier and head office that assures the supplier is maintaining the best interests of SSII. Job Description: 1. Manages, coordinates and directs supply chain management activities through day-to-day tactical and long-term strategic activities for the Raw material planning, Sourcing, Procurement, warehouse, Logistics and suppliers, including the establishment of strategic goals, plans, outlooks, objectives, and metrics using ERP. 2. Plan for Production and materials utilizing the machines, equipment and resources in optimum conditions to ensure that OTD meets 100% per customer requested dates. 3. Ability of doing the component costing, Supplier selection criteria following the Capability/Financials, Quality, Capacity, Engagement, Cost of Supplier. Negotiate and facilitate approval for new supplier contracts and agreements under the direction of the Operations Head. 4. Ability to manage all procurement activities, including indirect (MRO), local direct material and oversea direct material. Organizational and planning skills, including ability to: prioritize work, handle multiple tasks simultaneously, set personal goals and enforce personal deadlines, while maintaining flexibility to reassess and prioritize goals. 5. Working with Buyer team, measure and manage supplier performance to ensure productivity, timely deliveries, high service levels and adherence to quality specifications and all other business requirements. 6. Lead and support Procurement team to make sure Inventory is under control per metrics defined. 7. Work with suppliers to provide month end statements based on product deliveries and outstanding accounts payable. 8. Develops industry/market trend analysis, competitive situations, commodity price trends, and supply/demand situations for assigned spend categories. 9. Meet and exceed cost reduction goals, while reducing risks in the supply chain. 10. Participate in new product development and deliver across all elements of supply chain readiness. 11. Understand and assist the quality engineers to ensure product quality requirements are implemented and maintained. 12. Understand and assist the production engineers to ensure tooling, product and production time frames are met. 13. Review all tooling and product quotes to ensure costs, lead-times and materials are accurate and justified. 14. Acknowledge and respond to e-mails and tasks daily and accurately. 15. Build SOP of supply chain management and carry out other duties from COO. 16. Comply with company rules and regulations as outlined in the employee handbook, which may be amended or replaced from time to time. Knowledge, and Skills 1. Problem Solving - The ability to identify problems and develop and implement solutions to the issues. 2. Decision Making - The ability to make value added decisions in a timely manner at all levels of the organization. 3. Strategic Thinker - The ability to creatively develop effective responses and plans to people, problems or issues. 4. Communication Skills - The ability to effectively communicate ideas, arguments, solutions and work through conflict resolution at all levels of organizations both internally and externally. 5. Negotiation - The ability to plan for, implement and communicate the elements of negotiations that create value for SSII, while maintaining supplier relationships. 6. Ethics - Consistently uses good judgment when analyzing right and wrong and performs at a level of conduct that is within corporate ethics guidelines. Qualification: 1. BS above, strong background in modern supply chain management, engineering and quality, at least 5 years experience in leading the full supply chain functions managing at least USD25million annually. 2. Ability to create discipline, an excellent teamwork environment and clear verbal and written communication skills. 3. Analytical, reasoning and problem-solving skills and Ability to maintain accurate and detailed records. 4. Computer Skills- Excellent command in MS Office, Ability to read Engineering drawings.
