JOB DESCRIPTION Review of structural schemes for various residential projects in terms of structural efficiency and buildability In-house peer review of structural engineering deliverables from consultants - design basis reports geotechnical report analysis models design calculations reinforcement detailing GFC drawings Identification and evaluation of new consultants and vendors for structural engineering Literature survey study on structural analysis design advancements national and international codes standards current global trends new technology etc Cross-functional collaboration to support costing contracts and procurement planning quality safety etc to have control over project cost time quality and safety Review of retrofitting scheme Engineering management process development In-house work on organizational level initiatives such as standardization cost optimization reduction of construction time etc Leading structural Engineering process audit Structural quantity validation Exposure to BIM implementation ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibility Area Key Activities Indicative Performance Measures Structural design Providing expert advice in Structural systems design and detailing of various structural elements isolated combined footings raft pile pile-raft columns shear walls slabs beams retaining walls etc In-depth study of design aspects and relative advantages of different construction methodologies creating guidelines - RCC structural steel precast composite construction etc Managing external consultants and collaboration with cross-functional teams Understanding of structural engineering analysis and design fundamentals Ability to apply understanding in real-life projects effectively Collaboration with internal and external stakeholders Development work Comparison of different structural systems like framed structure shear wall flat slab flat plate waffle slab and arriving at cost effective alternative Comparison of different formwork systems like Mivan tunnel form etc and precast technology on the layout repetition and material consumption Urge to learn new things and ability to analyze the data gathered through study Process adherence Compliance with company defined guidelines and processes Adherence to project timelines Process compliance Process improvement Identification of processes procedures in own work area that need improvement Recommendation of process improvement ideas to streamline efficiency costs productivity Implementation of process improvement activities in own work area Initiatives taken Impact of process improvement ideas People management Guide team of engineers for effective Peer review project coordination and initiatives Identify development needs and trains to fulfill the gap Good leadership qualities PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATION Threshold Education Qualification Experience Applicants should be M Tech structures from a reputed institution 9 years relevant experience in managing Structural design for high-rise buildings Township projects Hands-on experience with software such as ETABS SAFE STAAD BIM 360 etc Knowledge of value engineering in design of structures at various design stages
