Job Description Position: Design Head Home Textiles (Bedding & Home Furnishings) Designation: Senior Manager / Manager Function: Design & Product Development Reports To: Managing Director Qualifications & Experience: * Bachelor's / Master's degree in **Textile Design, Textile Technology, or Fashion & Apparel Design. 1015 years of experience in home textiles, with 5+ years in a design leadership role. * Strong command of woven design techniques (dobby, jacquard, yarn development, and finishing). * Proven track record with international buyers and Indian retail/D2C collections. Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and textile CAD software. * Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. About the Role: We are seeking an exceptional Design Head Home Textiles to lead creative and product innovation across bedding, cushions, quilts, and home furnishings for both global export and Indian domestic markets. Key Responsibilities: Creative Leadership & Trend Direction * Define the seasonal design strategy and creative direction for export and domestic collections. * Curate trend-forward mood boards, color stories, and design narratives inspired by global and Indian sensibilities. * Translate global forecasts into compelling, production-ready collections tailored to premium international and D2C markets. Product Development & Innovation * Lead the full design cyclefrom concept and fabric development to sampling and final product realization. * Develop innovative weaves, textures, prints, embroideries, and finishes that reflect market demand and design innovation. * Partner with suppliers to create sustainable, cost-efficient materials and finishes. * Balance creative ambition with manufacturability and commercial viability. Technical Excellence * Oversee and guide design teams on yarn counts, weave structures, GSM, and finishing processes. * Collaborate closely with weaving, dyeing, processing, and stitching units to ensure precision and quality consistency. * Evaluate prototypes for technical accuracy, design integrity, and aesthetic appeal. Leadership & Collaboration * Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of textile and CAD designers, fostering a culture of collaboration, creativity, and accountability. * Drive timelines, seasonal calendars, and buyer presentation schedules with precision. * Build a high-performing design team with strong execution focus and innovative thinking. Market & Buyer Engagement * Partner with merchandising teams to create buyer-specific collections for leading international retailers and brands (US, UK, EU, Australia). * Conceptualize original design stories tailored to Indian consumers, lifestyle trends, and festive aesthetics. * Present collections directly to buyers, ensuring design alignment with price points, lead times, and market expectations. Sustainability & Brand Value * Champion eco-conscious design and sustainable materials aligned with the company's values. * Embed sustainability into every stage of product creationwithout compromising style, quality, or performance.
