Job Description Join us as a Solutions Architect at Barclays, responsible for supporting the successful delivery of Location Strategy projects to plan, budget, agreed quality and governance standards. You'll spearhead the evolution of our digital landscape, driving innovation and excellence. To be successful as a Solutions Architect you should have experience with: - Mid/Advanced level knowledge of Data management and protection in regulated environments. - Proficient in AWS Cloud platform, this includes understanding of AWS services, pricing models, and best practices. - Broad technical experience in data preparation, warehousing and presentation to consumers including knowledge of data lakes and access mechanisms. - Ability to apply an architectural lens over data modelling to ensure data structures designed meet typical NFRs. - Evidence of a technical leadership role. - Experience of design leadership. - Broad understanding of the technology landscape client server / API / event driven / sync vs async / orchestration vs choreography / authentication / security principle of least privilege. Some Other Highly Valued Skills May Include - Deep understanding of data domain structure segmentation and associated benefits to stakeholder parties. - Ability to communicate vision and benefits of data products to both technical and business stakeholders. - Scaled agile knowledge / experience. - Architecture certifications like TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architecture. - Banking domain knowledge with data engineering/architecture background. This role is based in Pune. Purpose of the role To design, develop and improve software, utilising various engineering methodologies, that provides business, platform, and technology capabilities for our customers and colleagues. Accountabilities - Development and delivery of high-quality software solutions by using industry aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools. Ensuring that code is scalable, maintainable, and optimized for performance. - Cross-functional collaboration with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration and alignment with business objectives. - Collaboration with peers, participate in code reviews, and promote a culture of code quality and knowledge sharing. - Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations and actively contribute to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth. - Adherence to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and ensure secure software solutions. - Implementation of effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
