for a motivated and skilled ABAP Architect to join our S 4 Procurement Bangalore Team In this role you ll Provide architectural leadership for designing developing and evolving enterprise-grade applications in the SAP S 4HANA Public Cloud environment Define solution architecture across ABAP Cloud RAP ABAP OO CDS OData HANA and BOPF-based architectures Drive architectural decisions aligned with clean-core principles extensibility guidelines performance best practices and SAP cloud compliance Collaborate with functional experts product managers and engineering leaders to translate complex business requirements into robust architectural designs Lead technical scoping and provide reliable effort estimations for features enhancements and architectural initiatives ensuring accurate planning and alignment with delivery timelines Mentor and guide developers across teams conduct architectural reviews and enforce high standards of code quality modularity and performance Lead the definition and modernization of frameworks built on CDS OData RAP behaviours BOPF entities and ABAP OO design patterns Oversee and enhance test automation frameworks ensuring architectural correctness regression coverage and long-term code stability Develop comprehensive architecture documents solution designs extension patterns and reusable components to accelerate engineering Continuously explore and advocate developer-efficiency tools automation reusable libraries code-generation frameworks and cloud extensibility innovations Influence product-level technical roadmap performance benchmarks integration patterns and platform-wide architecture strategy Drive adoption of generative AI and machine learning across procurement systems utilizing SAP s AI services to revolutionize user experiences and automation Design high-performance globally distributed architectures using SAP s cloud-native principles Build AI-powered automation for testing deployment monitoring and incident response in enterprise software delivery What you bring 12 years of experience in software development with strong educational qualifications Bachelor s degree in Engineering Computer Science or MCA Deep programming fundamentals with extensive expertise in core ABAP concepts such as modularization debugging ABAP Dictionary and advanced proficiency in ABAP ABAP OO CDS view modelling OData services and HANA-optimized development Proven architectural and hands-on experience with RAP ABAP RESTful Application Programming Model including behaviour definitions service exposure extensibility models and cloud-ready application design Strong working knowledge of SAP Fiori elements and UI5 Solid understanding of BOPF-based applications legacy transformation patterns and coexistence models between BOPF and RAP Good understanding of test automation frameworks such as Vyper OPA5 or QUnit with the ability to define test strategies and influence quality engineering practices across teams Strong understanding in agile development processes functional knowledge of Procurement MM or related business domains is an added advantage Ability to lead complex technical problem-solving drive architectural decisions and support engineering teams through design reviews mentoring and best-practices Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced cloud product environment with a
