MERN Stack Engineer We are seeking an experienced MERN Stack Engineer with over 8 years of professional experience in full-stack web development using MongoDB Express js React and Node js The ideal candidate will be capable of architecting developing and maintaining scalable performant and secure web applications You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams including product managers designers and other engineers to deliver high-quality software solutions in an agile environment Key Responsibilities Develop and maintain full-stack web applications using the MERN stack MongoDB Express js React Node js Design and implement responsive user-friendly front-end interfaces using React Build robust scalable and secure server-side applications and APIs using Node js and Express js Design and optimize MongoDB schemas and queries for high performance Implement user authentication authorization using JWT and session management Write clean efficient maintainable and well-documented code following best practices Perform code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers Collaborate with UI UX designers to turn wireframes and mockups into functional web pages Troubleshoot debug and optimize application performance and reliability Integrate third-party APIs payment gateways and external services Participate actively in the software development lifecycle including requirements gathering testing deployment and maintenance Stay updated on emerging technologies and industry trends to continuously improve development practices Required Skills Bachelor s degree in engineering preferably Computer Science Information Technology or a related field 8 years of hands-on experience in full-stack development with the MERN stack Expert-level proficiency in React js Node js Express js and MongoDB Strong knowledge of modern JavaScript ES6 HTML5 and CSS3 Experience creating RESTful APIs and working with GraphQL is a plus Familiarity with version control systems such as Git Experience with Agile Scrum methodologies Knowledge of security best practices for web applications including authentication and authorization Strong problem-solving skills attention to detail and ability to work independently and in collaborative teams Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with team members and stakeholders Cloud and DevOps experience AWS Docker CI CD pipelines is advantageous Preferred Additional Experience Leading development teams Working in fast-paced development environments Experience with container orchestration and serverless architectures Writing automated tests using tools like Jest or Mocha Familiarity with compliance and security standards relevant to industries such as FinTech Banking and Financial Services
