but it is exciting An opportunity to grow your own way Everything moves fast in the dynamic world of Weir This creates opportunities for us to take on new challenges explore new areas learn progress and excel Best of all there is no set path that our people must take Instead everyone is given the support and freedom to tailor-make their own career and do the best work of their lives Feel empowered to be yourself and belong Weir is a welcoming inclusive place where each individual s contribution is recognized and all employees are encouraged to innovate collaborate and be themselves We continually focus on people and their wellbeing We believe in fairness and choose to be honest transparent and authentic in everything we do Key Responsibilities Safety First Demonstrate 100 commitment to Weir s zero-harm behaviours in support of the drive towards developing a world class safety culture Design and development Creating automated solutions using programming languages like VBA NET Java or Python and scripting languages to automate tasks in CAD software like UGNX AutoCAD SolidWorks and others Workflow optimization Identifying areas for improvement in design workflows boosting productivity and reducing non-value-added activities Integration Collaborating with product owners Product CoEs Technology Groups and other stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure seamless integration of CAD automation tools with other engineering systems Maintenance and support Maintaining and troubleshooting automation scripts and tools ensuring their accuracy reliability and proper functionality Collaboration Working with cross-functional teams clients and other stakeholders to understand requirements develop solutions and ensure alignment with project goals Testing and validation Thoroughly testing and validating CAD automation solutions to ensure they meet requirements and deliver the desired results Documentation Maintaining comprehensive documentation for all automation solutions and workflows Staying updated Keeping abreast of new technologies and advancements in CAD and automation AI and other technologies to improve and refine existing solutions Job Knowledge Education and Qualifications Education Bachelor s Degree in Engineering or Computer Applications with a minimum of 6-10 years experience in the area of CAD and Engineering automation Experience Strong programming and scripting skills Proficiency in languages like VBA NET Java or Python Software expertise Experience with industry-standard CAD software such as UGNX AutoCAD SolidWorks Revit or CATIA Knowledge on integration with other enterprise software like SAP CPQ tools like KBmax and PLM software like Teamcenter is desirable Problem-solving skills Ability to analyze complex problems propose solutions and implement them effectively Collaboration and communication skills Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information clearly Detail-oriented and organized Ability to manage multiple tasks prioritize effectively and maintain accurate documentation Adaptability and willingness to learn Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn new skills as required Core Competencies To perform the job successfully an individual should demonstrate the following competencies Customer focus -
