Over the last 20 years Ares success has been driven by our people and our culture Today our team is guided by our core values Collaborative Responsible Entrepreneurial Self-Aware Trustworthy and our purpose to be a catalyst for shared prosperity and a better future Through our recruitment career development and employee-focused programming we are committed to fostering a welcoming and inclusive work environment where high-performance talent of diverse backgrounds experiences and perspectives can build careers within this exciting and growing industry Role summary This position presents candidates with a unique opportunity to join a growing group that offers significant exposure to all phases of the Direct Lending process The incumbent will provide support for monitoring corporate debt and equity investments including quarterly valuation and reporting as well as support Ares ongoing fund raising and investor relationship effort Strong analytical and interpersonal skills as well as the ability to work well with limited supervision are of critical importancePrimary responsibilities The incumbe will provide support for the monitoring of Ares US Direct Lending Group corporate debt and equity investments including general portfolio management quarterly valuation and reporting supporting the potential restructuring of investments with senior investment professionals as well as supporting ongoing fund raising and existing investor relationship efforts This position will be based in Mumbai Key responsibilities include Core responsibility for monitoring corporate debt and equity investments Providing assistance to deal teams with assigned investments and general portfolio managementincluding quarterly valuation and reportingSupporting potential restructuring with detailed Excel financial models including cash flow analysis and related capital structure re- structuring analysisCommunicating with portfolio company managementUtilizing firms proprietary software tools for company trackingPerforming and helping manage mark-to-market quarter end valuations and processAnalyzing portfolio trends and market leverage and price developmentAnother key responsibility is supporting Ares ongoing fund raising and existing investor relationship effort Maintaining and developing Ares investment track recordAssisting in investors presentations and queriesAdditional duties include providing direct support as deemed necessary by senior managementGeneral requirements Self-motivated and driven ability to work effectively in a collegial fast moving demanding and dynamic environmentExperience with asset management systems or other relational databasesExperience at a regional national or global financial services firmExperience with US capital marketsSelf-starter exceptional communication and organizational skills necessaryAbility to work independently as well as with the teamExcellent oral and written communication skills and computer literacyKnowledge of Microsoft Windows Word Excel OutlookCreative problem solverRequired experience CA MBA with 3 to 5 years of experienceReporting Relationships Vice President Core US Direct Lending PMGThere is no set deadline to apply for this job opportunity Applications will be accepted on an ongoing basis until the search is no longer active
