Experience required: 5 years experience into ServiceNow is a must Role Overview: - We are seeking a ServiceNow CMDB Implementation Expert to lead the design, deployment, and optimization of the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) within the ServiceNow platform. - The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in CMDB architecture, discovery, service mapping, and integration with ITSM/ITOM modules, ensuring accurate configuration data and alignment with ITIL best practices. Key Responsibilities: - Lead end-to-end implementation of ServiceNow CMDB, ensuring accurate configuration item (CI) data and relationships. - Design and maintain the CMDB data model, including CI classes, attributes, and relationships. - Configure and optimize Discovery and Service Mapping to ensure automated and reliable population of CMDB data. - Integrate CMDB with ITSM, ITOM, and other enterprise systems for real-time updates and visibility. - Define and enforce data governance, data quality, and reconciliation policies. - Develop CMDB dashboards, reports, and data health metrics. - Collaborate with stakeholders to align CMDB strategy with business and IT operations. - Conduct workshops, gather requirements, and translate business needs into technical configurations. - Provide knowledge transfer and documentation for ongoing CMDB operations and maintenance. Required Skills & Experience: - 5 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow implementation, with at least 3+ years focused on CMDB and Discovery. - Strong understanding of ITIL processes, especially Configuration Management. - Proven experience in Service Mapping, Discovery probes/sensors, and MID Server configuration. - Proficiency in ServiceNow ITOM, ITSM, and related modules. - Experience with data integrations (REST, SOAP, API, etc.) and import sets/transform maps. - Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills for CMDB data integrity and performance issues. - Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams. - ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist – CMDB / Discovery / ITOM preferred.
