About Our Client This opportunity is with a large organisation in the Technology & Telecoms sector, specialising in Software solutions. The company is known for its innovative approach to accounting and finance processes, supporting its operations through a strong compliance framework. Job Description - Tax Compliance Oversight: Manage all U.S. and international tax filings, including corporate income tax, sales/use tax, VAT, and franchise tax. - Collaboration with Consultants: Work closely with external tax advisors to handle both direct and indirect tax matters. - Tax Calculations & Reporting: Prepare monthly and quarterly tax provisions, including complex items like deferred taxes, GILTI, and net operating losses (NOLs). - Intercompany Tax Matters: Ensure proper tax treatment for transactions between different branches or entities of the company. - Sales & Use Tax Accuracy: Make sure customers are charged the correct taxes and that returns are filed on time. - Team Leadership: Build and manage a tax team, ensuring smooth operations and knowledge sharing. - Internal Controls: Maintain a strong control environment to prevent errors and ensure compliance. - Audit Support: Assist with both internal and external audits by providing necessary documentation and insights. The Successful Applicant - Strong Tax Expertise: 6-10 years of hands-on experience in both direct and indirect taxation, including corporate tax, VAT, sales/use tax, and international tax compliance. - Professional Qualification: A CA or CPA, preferably with experience in a U.S.-based corporate environment. - Analytical & Technical Skills: Proficient in tax software, Excel, and capable of handling complex tax calculations like deferred taxes, GILTI, and NOLs. - Team Leadership: Proven ability to build and manage a tax team, ensuring smooth operations and knowledge sharing. - Audit & Compliance Focus: Experience supporting internal and external audits, and maintaining a strong internal control environment. - Communication & Collaboration: Able to work independently, communicate effectively with consultants and internal teams, and provide strategic tax advice. - Global Perspective: Comfortable handling intercompany tax matters across multiple geographies.
