Location India Remote Band Level Prod-1 Data Tagging QA Specialist India About The Role Our newest product that offers insights on software companies is growing rapidly and we are seeking aData Tagging QA Specialist to join our Data Product team in India to manage a large portion of the upstream data cleaning and quality assurance processes Using Databricks and our proprietary tooling you will be responsible for implementing regular expressions RegEx and Python logic in order to capture all transactions associated with a software vendor This tagged data will then be cleaned and used to build insights products in our fastest-growing initiatives This position offers the opportunity to meaningfully contribute to the growth of our company Exceptional employees may have the opportunity to be promoted and manage a team of other Data Tagging QA Specialists This is a fully remote role based in India In general we expect some overlap with U S work hours and we require greater overlap during the first few weeks of training and onboarding During training and onboarding we anticipate your work hours to be 2pm-11pm IST to allow for sufficient overlap We anticipate your standard work hours to be 11am-8pm IST Once new hires are fully ramped we may offer greater flexibility in your schedule As Our Data Tagging Specialist You Will Define which transactions belong to a vendor for all downstream processes client-facing feeds and applications by Researching software vendors to identify all of their products subsidiaries and alternative names Searching through raw financial transaction data and writing RegEx and Python code to capture all appropriate entries associated with a vendor Running data quality assurance checks to review accuracy of coded logic Primarily complete your work usingSQL and Python within Databricks notebooks Collaborate closely with our U S -based Data Product team daily Collaborate and improve the process and tooling of identifying software vendors tagging cleaning the data and using the data output to enrich a library of data-driven private company intelligence Potentially have the opportunity to be promoted to manage a team of other Data Tagging QA Specialists Must have Strong attention to detail 1-3 years of experience as a data or quality assurance analyst Ability to collaborate with global team with proven experience working with a US-based employer Strong English proficiency and knowledge of the English language spoken written Ability to creatively understand the intention behind word misspellings and possible alternative spellings of vendor names Strong judgment Experience with Python SQL Regex- Must have skills Roles will grow further and hiring numbers will also grow Nice-to-have Experience working with large datasets Understanding of finance or economics Basic accounting knowledge Experience working with Github You Are Likely to Succeed If You have 1-3 years of experience as a data or quality assurance analyst You have at least 1 year of full-time work experience using Python SQL and Regex You have exceptional attention to detail You have experience working with and managing large datasets You have experience managing multiple processes in parallel You like to solve problems and puzzles You have excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively
