Risk Control Management and complying with commercial and statutory norms Essential Job Tasks 1 - Evaluating suppliers on the basis of delivery speed for their products and services price and quality 2 - Interviewing vendors vendor audits at the distribution centres and plants to examine the products and services 3 - Negotiating contracts for the hotel and working out on the agreements with suppliers for product delivery 4 - Meeting with vendors and internal customers to discuss unacceptable and defective products and establish corrective action 5 - Monitoring the market rates on periodic basis Areas of Responsibility Strategy and Planning 1 - Ensures timely deliveries minimize stock outs and reduces inventory carrying cost 2 - Ensures apt inventory management control 3 - Ensures that the contract management is done effectively and with efficient tender processes 4 - Improves material planning forecasting 5 - Ensures Vendor development vendor engagement vendor evaluation 6 - Optimizes the process product people wherever possible 7 - Introduces e-procurement online auction models in system where ever possible 8 - Plans all Operational Capital Requirements Internal Process 1 - Optimizes existing supply chain by identifying Critical Control Points 2 - Co-ordinates with user departments 3 - Ensures that all high value operational items are contracted 4 - Derives meaningful inferences from several reports generated 5 - Optimum utilisation of the duty free licenses 6 - Is responsible for removal disposal of scrap as per rules guidelines 7 - Responsible for extensive freight comparisons mode analysis payment options demand collation demand forecasting and delivery patterns for better logistical planning 8 - Ensures that budgeted RMC is met improved 9 - Liases with various government agencies Excise and Sales tax authorities 10 - Ensures annual visits to the sites and execute audits Statutory Audit Compliance 1 - Imports in accordance to the trade agreements with countries free trade bilateral trade etc and Duty free scripts to achieve best possible landed cost 2 - Reviews audit findings - Safety Hygiene and TPAM Taj Positive Assurance Model and takes corrective measures to ensure full compliance 3 - Prepares the internal audit checklists as per the IHCL Safety Guidelines 4 - Adheres to all departmental legal compliances 5 - Ensures that the terms of the Operating agreement with Partners are duly complied with in all respects People 1 - Partners with Human Resources to develop departmental workforce plans hiring schedule interview and select candidates that demonstrate the TATA and IHCL values along with core functional expertise Assign buddies to new team members and monitor the progress of departmental induction 2 - Sets department and sub-department goals which is in line with the hotel and department strategies Communicate goals conduct Q-Chats quarterly performance reviews analyse performance and provide relevant input for training programs 3 - Identifies the developmental needs of others and coaching mentoring or otherwise helping others to improve their knowledge or skills 4 - Ensures disciplinary procedures and documentation adhering to the standards of Tata Code of Conduct and values of IHCL 5 - Identifies departmental and individual training needs develops training calendars conducts training and recommends suitable training programs to address individual capability gaps Participate in certification of team members in key skills Ensures self and direct report managers attend appropriate core training classes 6 - Creates a culture of recognition by actively participating in the STARS Special Thanks and Recognition System Program 7 - Creates a culture of Trust Awareness and Joy by conducting departmental meetings reviewing V-Connect feedback drawing and implementing suitable action plans Required Qualifications 1 -
