Inviting applications for the role ofDomain Trainee - Underwriting

In this role, you will be responsible for leading teams and service level target's role for P&C Insurance Business. Facilitating goal-level creation for the team in line with Business goals and works with managers to ensure the goals are cascade to all associates. Guiding the talent identification and development process for the team. You will be encouraged to be focused on the Business goals/challenges and know how to seek these using analytics and technology.

Responsibilities

- Experience of working in UW support, policy management, Surplus Lines, submissions, loss runs, and person must have end to end knowledge and experience related to P&C insurance.

- Understanding of US P&C insurance lifecycle - preplacement, placement and post placement activities

- Policy documentation, UW support activities and updating endorsements

- Understanding of risks faced by the function and the controls in place to balance and mitigate the risks.

- Ability to function effectively in a team environment exercising good judgment

Qualifications we seek in you

Minimum qualifications

- Relevant Years experience in P&C insurance

- Experience with Insurance company will be an added advantage.

- Graduate - B A / B.Sc.

Preferred qualifications

- Ability to understand instructions on received documents & emails related to

P&C Insurance policy

- Ensure all controls are followed, existing exceptions are reviewed, and duplicate policies are reported before processing any transaction.

- Ability to handle varied volumes of workloads and to reach targets and deadlines on a timely basis.

- Ability to key in information (typing speed & accuracy).

- Able to communication with internal / external stakeholders on day to day routine activities.

- Strong SME knowledge of P&C insurance concepts

- Good knowledge of MS Excel and Word.
