Position: Purchase Executive

Location: Head Office – Jayanagar, Bengaluru

Experience: 2–3 Years

Industry: Pharmaceutical – API (Steroids and Intermediates) Manufacturing

Reporting To: Manager – Purchase (Primary), with functional reporting to Accounts & Managing Director

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: Compensation commensurate with the experience and qualifications of the candidate

Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated Purchase Executive to join our team at NBPL (Natural Biogenex Pvt. Ltd.), a API Factory specialising in Steroids and Intermediates. The role will be based at our Head Office in Jayanagar, Bengaluru. The Purchase Executive will be responsible for executing purchase operations, ensuring accurate documentation, timely payment coordination, and supporting smooth supply chain activities for the project.

Key Responsibilities

- Draft and execute Purchase Orders (POs) as per approved requirements.
- Coordinate with vendors for order confirmation, delivery timelines, and supporting documents.
- Maintain and update purchase records, vendor details, and PO status in ERP/SAP or Excel.
- Liaise with Accounts for bill processing, invoice verification and arranging bills payable.
- Support in vendor negotiations to ensure cost-effectiveness and favourable terms.
- Assist in vendor development and maintaining supplier relationships.
- Prepare and maintain MIS reports on purchase activities and cost tracking.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, statutory requirements, and audit readiness.

Required Skills

- Proficiency in MS Excel and MS Office Suite.
- Knowledge of SAP or other ERP systems (advantage).
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Good documentation and record-keeping ability.
- Attention to detail, problem-solving, and time management.

Qualifications

- Graduate in Commerce / Science / Business Administration
- 2–3 years of relevant experience in Purchase/Procurement, preferably in Pharma / Chemical / API / Food Processing industries.
