Job Title Contractor - SD-WAN Forwarding Test Automation Engineer Location India Hybrid Contract Type Contract Team SD-WAN Forwarding About the Role We are seeking a skilled Test Automation Engineer to join the SD-WAN Forwarding team In this role you will design develop and maintain automation frameworks that validate and optimize SD-WAN forwarding functionality The ideal candidate will have experience in network test automation CI CD integrations and collaborative development processes You will work closely with SD-WAN engineering and test teams to deliver high-quality automated test solutions Key Responsibilities o Design develop and maintain automated test scripts and frameworks for SD-WAN forwarding features o Collaborate with engineering and QA teams to understand forwarding feature requirements and translate them into automation scenarios o Creation of planned automated tests covering forwarding plane functionality including policy path selection and traffic-based measurements o Analyze automation results identify and troubleshoot defects and deliver detailed reports with recommendations o Integrate test automation into CI CD pipelines using tools such as Git GitHub and Jenkins o Support defect reproduction and triaging with a focus on automation-related autons issues o Document test plans automation frameworks procedures and results for knowledge transfer o Leverage AI-powered tools e g Copilot CircuIT to enhance test automation efficiency o Deliver final handover documentation and conduct knowledge transfer sessions to the engineering teams in Cisco Required Qualifications o Proven experience in test automation for networking or SD-WAN solutions o Strong programming skills in Python and scripting languages -YAML JSON C good to have o Hands-on experience with Git GitHub Jenkins and automated deployment pipelines o Experience with automation test frameworks such as vTest pyATS or similar o Familiarity with networking concepts like routing and switching Good to have forwarding traffic engineering and policy-based routing o Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications o Experience in SD-WAN technologies and Cisco networking products o Prior experience using AI tools for test automation augmentation o Ability to work collaboratively and independently in cross-functional teams
