Role: Senior/Lead Data Modeller Experience: 6+ Yrs Location: Pune Notice Period: Immediate to 15 days only Interview: Virtual discussion Mode: Hybrid – 4 days a week About the Role We are looking for an experienced Data Modeler to join our data engineering team for a leading banking project . The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in data modeling using Erwin , a deep understanding of Medallion architecture , and strong analytical skills to translate business requirements into scalable, high-quality data models. Key Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain conceptual, logical, and physical data models using Erwin Data Modeler . Implement and optimize Medallion architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold layers) for data pipelines and analytical systems. Collaborate with data engineers, business analysts, and architects to define data modeling standards and best practices. Work closely with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient data models . Ensure data consistency, quality, and governance across multiple systems and environments. Participate in data architecture reviews and provide guidance on database design and performance optimization. Support data lineage, metadata management , and data cataloging initiatives. Collaborate with the banking domain teams to ensure compliance with regulatory and security standards. Required Skills & Experience Minimum 6 years of experience in data modeling within large-scale enterprise environments. Strong hands-on experience with Erwin Data Modeler (or equivalent data modeling tools). Proven experience in Medallion architecture (Bronze–Silver–Gold layers) and modern data lake design. Deep understanding of data warehousing concepts , ETL/ELT design , and data governance . Solid knowledge of SQL and experience working with relational and NoSQL databases . Exposure to cloud data platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP) and modern data engineering ecosystems . Strong analytical and communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams. Prior experience working on banking or financial services projects is mandatory . Good to Have Familiarity with Databricks, Snowflake, or Azure Data Factory . Knowledge of CDC (Change Data Capture) and data integration patterns . Understanding of data quality frameworks and data cataloging tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation).
