Structured Trust and Analytics Group The Structured Trust and Analytics Group STA at State Street Bank acts as Trustee for Collateralized Loan Obligations CLOs and other structured transactions A CLO is a type of structured transaction that is issued pursuant to deal documents typically an Indenture or Trust Deed In a structured transaction an investment bank creates a deal structure whereby notes with differing characteristics such as maturity date interest rate seniority etc are issued to investors These notes are then collateralized through the acquisition of corporate bank loans Additionally STA provides compliance functions for various fund structures that invest in corporate bank loans Members of STA work closely with portfolio managers underwriters and rating agencies STA mainly handles reporting priority of payments event tracking and trade testing duties A compliance system is used to track the characteristics of the assets and liabilities and to write compliance eligibility tests Monthly and payment date reports are written within STA using a report writer Events payment dates agreed upon procedure due dates rating reaffirmations etc are tracked using a tickler system and asset data is validated using the data validation module The Officer position within STA provides an excellent opportunity for self motivated individuals to develop new skills and establish a rewarding career path Job Summary Manage and oversee the tasks associated with Collateralized Loan Obligations CLOs and fund transactions to ensure that deals are in compliance with deal documents Work with the Boston team to ensure seamless service and accurate and timely delivery of information Interact with the Boston team on a daily basis to address and resolve issues A Senior Associate within STA is responsible for maintaining the daily operation of structured finance trusts managing the team and managing relationship between the Boston team and senior management Job duties include developing staff skills in the areas of securities processing and review compliance testing and data management and reconciliation Job Duties Performs the following functions Accountable for all work in assigned operating group Manage relationships with the Boston team senior management and other parties etc to strengthen relationships Assist staff and Boston team with new task processes review process documentation and ensure we can operationally handle all aspects of the task Manage the installation of new business including process oversight for accuracy and completeness Ensure that all deliverables KPI reports and data are of the highest quality Ensure that the team is reviewing and completing tasks as described the process guides Identify service issues and needs and escalate to Boston team Work with Boston team and senior management to ensure proper controls and procedures are in place to handle all work Review work done by associates Develop technical skills needed to support product and staff Develop and maintain industry expertise v Manage and manipulate large amounts of data in Microsoft Excel v Comply with internal procedures and specified deadlines v Manage the training of new hires and associates v Other special projects and tasks as assigned v Systems Wall Street Office MS Excel MS Outlook Solvas LoanOps Portal My State Street Bloomberg LS Fax Requirements University degree in Business majoring in Accounting Finance or another Financial-related program v 6-8 years of experience in fixed income debt securities CLO ABS MBS SPV v Strong work ethic and positive attitude v Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritize deadline-driven workflow v Strong oral and written communications skills v Strong MS Excel skills v Strong project management skills v Candidate must be detail oriented and a natural problem solver have the resolve to independently research problems and offer solutions v Ability to work both independently and in group settings and can operate on short- and long-term goals v Ability to work in a deadline oriented group with peak period workflow
