Job Description Job Title : 3D Generalist (Contract) Location: Remote / India Company: LightFury Duration : 6 Months About LightFury LightFury is on a mission to establish India as a global force in AAA game development. We're passionate about storytelling, visual fidelity, and innovation. Our team is currently working on an ambitious unannounced title and building compelling, high-impact marketing content that matches the quality of the game itself. We are looking for a Freelance 3D Generalist to join us on a 6-month contract and bring gameplay, characters, and environments to life across trailers, reels, and promotional content. The Role As a 3D Generalist at LightFury, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our game's public visual identity. From in-game assets to cinematic trailers, you'll work alongside marketing and creative teams to deliver top-tier content that showcases the world we're building. This is a creative, hands-on role ideal for someone with a strong sense of storytelling, composition, and post-production. Responsibilities - Create high-quality 3D assets and environments for use in marketing materials and gameplay showcases. - Contribute to basic character animation and rigging for short-form narrative content. - Collaborate with the marketing team to edit videos and cut trailers, using raw gameplay and cinematic footage. - Handle lighting, rendering, and compositing to achieve visually stunning final outputs. - Maintain artistic consistency with the game's visual style and narrative tone. - Work within Unreal Engine to integrate and stage assets for trailers and key visuals. - Adapt quickly to project needs, offering support across disciplines when required. Qualifications - Proven experience in 3D generalist roles, preferably for games, films, or marketing. - Proficiency in Blender or Maya, with a solid grasp of modeling, texturing, rigging, and animation. - Strong understanding of lighting, rendering pipelines, and post-production workflows. - Hands-on experience with Unreal Engine for environment staging and cinematic shots. - Skilled in Adobe After Effects and Premiere Pro for compositing and video editing. - A portfolio showcasing high-quality cinematic visuals, trailers, and short-form video edits. - Excellent communication, time management, and adaptability in remote collaboration environments. Desirable Skills - Experience with camera animation and shot composition for trailers. - Knowledge of Niagara (UE5), Sequencer, or real-time VFX pipelines. - Familiarity with motion graphics, typography, and title design. - Understanding of storytelling techniques for gameplay showcases. - Passion for gaming and an eye for AAA-quality aesthetics.
