This position focuses on enhancing the performance, reliability, and lifespan of electrochemical devices through research, testing, and collaboration. Key Responsibilities - Conduct failure mode analysis to identify and document failure mechanisms in electrochemical systems such as alkaline water electrolysers (AWE). - Analyze data to detect failure patterns and trends. - Design and perform experiments simulating extreme conditions (temperature, pressure, current, voltage). - Collaborate with materials scientists to address material-related failures and recommend solutions. - Prepare technical reports and presentations on findings and improvements. - Maintain thorough records of experiments and methodologies. - Troubleshoot issues related to coating processes and materials. - Work with cross-functional teams to implement failure prevention strategies. Qualifications - Education: Bachelor's or Master's. in Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Electrochemistry, Mechanical Engineering, or related fields. - Experience: Background in R&D, failure analysis, or reliability engineering for electrochemical systems (e.g., batteries, fuel cells, electrolysers). - Skills: - Proficiency in electrochemical testing and failure analysis tools. - Deep understanding of electrochemical processes and materials science. - Analytical and problem-solving skills with hands-on lab experience. - Familiarity with tools like potentiostats, EIS, Elemental composition analysis (ICP-MS) and SEM imaging.
