Job Description: Our Iris Smart Manufacturing platform combines deep industrial expertise with advanced data science and machine learning. It aggregates data from IT and OT systems into a unified namespace, builds knowledge graphs, runs intelligent AI models and powers LLM-based copilots for intelligent insights. Designed for hybrid deployment, the platform runs both on-premises and across Azure, AWS, and GCP clouds. We embrace DevOps culture and microservices architecture using technologies like Python, Docker, Kubernetes, TimescaleDB, Elasticsearch, MinIO, Delta Lake, MLFlow, Kubeflow, NiFi, Prometheus, and Grafana. We are looking for a Python backend engineer experienced in design and implementation of distributed architectures, and cloud-native development, with a performance-first mindset that guides every design and implementation decision. You’ll translate product requirements into efficient, scalable, and maintainable systems, write high-quality code, and uphold engineering excellence. The ideal candidate combines deep technical expertise with delivery discipline, thrives in ambiguity, and mentors others in an agile, collaborative environment. Key Responsibilities: • Design and implement scalable backend services and APIs using Python and modern frameworks • Translate complex requirements into technical designs and own delivery from design to production • Contribute to making the platform cloud-agnostic across Azure, AWS, and GCP. • Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines and monitoring systems • Debug and resolve Production issues efficiently • Collaborate across teams to ensure timely, high-quality releases Required Skills and Qualifications: • 6+ years of hands-on backend development, primarily in Python (Java a plus) • Proven experience designing, implementing and documenting API-based services (Flask/FastAPI/Swagger) • Strong background in system design, asynchronous processing, messaging systems (Kafka, RabbitMQ or similar) and distributed systems • Proficiency with databases such as PostgreSQL, Elasticsearch, and related data modelling • Experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines • Strong debugging and problem-solving skills in production environments • Experience in Agile/Scrum delivery and mentoring small teams • Excellent communication, ownership, and critical thinking abilities Preferred Qualifications • Familiarity with OAuth2/OpenID Connect and IAM systems • Exposure to MLOps tools (Model Registry, Feature Store, MLFlow, Seldon) • Experience with at least one Cloud environment (Azure, AWS or GCP) • Understanding of LLM and OpenAI APIs • Prior experience using GenAI productivity tools effectively in development About Us: Why Join SymphonyAI? • Opportunity to work with cutting-edge AI technology in a dynamic and innovative environment • Collaborative and inclusive company culture • Competitive compensation and benefits package • Professional growth and development opportunities
