Job summary We are looking for an experienced CAD Engineer Electrical with a strong background in the design and drafting of street lighting and traffic signal systems The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience and be proficient in AutoCAD MicroStation and Civil 3D This role requires a thorough understanding of roadway electrical systems and the ability to prepare high-quality accurate engineering drawings that comply with relevant standards Key responsibilities Prepare electrical layout drawings for street lighting traffic signals and associated infrastructureDevelop detailed plans using AutoCAD MicroStation and Civil 3D based on engineering inputsCoordinate with electrical engineers civil designers and other project stakeholdersCreate wiring diagrams conduit routing pole layouts and electrical schematicsEnsure all drawings meet client and jurisdictional standards and specificationsPerform revisions and updates to plans based on design changes or review commentsAssist with quantity take-offs and support documentation for bids or constructionParticipate in field visits and site assessments as needed to support design accuracyQualifications Minimum 5 years of experience in electrical CAD design with a focus on street lighting and traffic signalsProficiency in AutoCAD MicroStation and Civil 3DStrong understanding of electrical design standards related to roadway infrastructureAbility to interpret engineering sketches specifications and redlinesExperience working with DOT or municipal standards preferred Strong attention to detail and quality controlExcellent organizational and communication skillsVertical Digital Engineering
