Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Azure Engineer to lead the migration and modernization of large-scale microservices and DevOps infrastructure. This role involves transitioning services from Service Fabric to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS), migrating from Akamai to Azure Front Door (AFD), and ensuring secure, efficient, and compliant CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps (ADO).

Key Responsibilities:

Migration & Modernization

- Lead the migration of large-scale microservices to Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Cosmic.
- Drive the transition from Akamai to Azure Front Door (AFD).
- Migrate services from Service Fabric to AKS, ensuring minimal downtime and architectural alignment.
- Migrate classic build and release pipelines to YAML-based 1ESPT and M365 OneBranch pipelines.

Pipeline Management & Automation

- Maintain and optimize Azure DevOps pipelines, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Troubleshoot and resolve deployment failures across buddy builds, pull requests, rolling builds, and release pipelines.
- Manage ADO components: secrets, certificates, service connections, libraries, and variable groups.
- Ensure all pipelines comply with company security policies and best practices.

Security & Compliance

- Migrate ADO tasks to support workload identity credentials.
- Eliminate use of local authorities, service principal secrets, and PATs.
- Conduct monthly audits of security groups and secrets, producing detailed compliance reports.
- Respond to S360 security alerts and manage ICM tickets.

Infrastructure & Automation

- Develop and maintain Cosmic-related automation scripts and templates to enhance deployment efficiency and security.
- Manage and optimize Cosmic resources within Azure DevOps.
- Onboard and integrate services such as 1CDN Upload Asset, secret rotator tooling, and ESRP.

Networking & Cloud Architecture

- Research and develop ARM templates to support IPv6 in virtual networks, application gateways, load balancers, and VMSS.

Reporting & Metrics

- Report monthly on application deployment frequency using DORA metrics.
- Support the OCE channel and provide insights into operational health.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

- 8–12 years of experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Site Reliability Engineering
- Strong hands-on experience with Azure DevOps, AKS, Cosmic, and AFD
- Proven experience in migrating from Service Fabric to AKS
- Proficiency in YAML, PowerShell, Bash, and scripting for automation
- Deep understanding of CI/CD, infrastructure as code (IaC), and cloud security
- Experience with ARM templates, Terraform, or Bicep
- Familiarity with DORA metrics, S360, and ICM workflows
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills

Preferred Qualifications:

- Microsoft Certified: Azure DevOps Engineer Expert or Azure Solutions Architect
- Experience with 1ES Engineering Systems, M365 OneBranch, or 1CDN
- Knowledge of Zero Trust security models and workload identity
