Role Overview

As a Shopify Developer, you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and maintaining e-commerce websites on the Shopify platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create seamless online shopping experiences and ensure the smooth functioning of Shopify-based websites. This role demands proficiency in web development, front-end technologies, and e-commerce best practices to enhance user engagement and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities

- Build, customize, and maintain Shopify-based e-commerce websites, ensuring they align with clients requirements and brand guidelines
- Develop responsive and user-friendly front-end interfaces that optimize user experience and conversion rates
- Customize Shopify themes to meet design and functionality specifications, including layout, navigation, and product presentation
- Implement and modify Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to create visually appealing and functional web pages
- Integrate and configure Shopify apps to enhance website functionality, such as payment gateways, inventory management, and marketing tools
- Ensure seamless communication between Shopify and third-party systems
- Monitor and optimize website performance, including page load times, site speed, and mobile responsiveness
- Implement SEO best practices to improve search engine rankings and visibility
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and resolve issues, ensuring website functionality across various browsers and devices
- Perform routine maintenance and updates to keep the website secure and up-to-date
- Work closely with designers, project managers, and other developers to gather requirements and deliver projects on time and within budget
- Provide technical guidance and expertise to the team and clients
- Create and maintain technical documentation, including coding standards, development processes, and system configurations
- Stay up-to-date with the latest e-commerce trends, Shopify updates, and web development technologies to recommend improvements and innovations

Qualifications and Skills

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Web Development, or a related field (or equivalent work experience)
- Proven experience in Shopify development, including theme customization and app integration
- Proficiency in front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Liquid
- Familiarity with web design principles, responsive design, and UX/UI best practices
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of SEO best practices and web analytics
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team-oriented environment
