Role Description

We are looking for a talented Lead Realistic Character Design to lead the creation of lifelike 3D characters for cinematic and VFX projects. This role combines artistic excellence with leadership, ensuring the highest quality and consistency across all character assets.

Responsibilities:

- Lead and mentor a team of character artists.
- Design and develop realistic 3D characters from concept to production.
- Ensure optimized topology and photorealistic textures.
- Collaborate with concept, rigging, and technical teams for seamless integration.
- Establish best practices and improve character pipelines.

Required Skills & Experience:

- 7+ years in character design (film/games/VFX), 2+ years in a lead role.
- Expert in Maya, ZBrush, Substance Painter, Photoshop.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, topology, and texturing.
- Familiarity with rendering engines (Arnold, V-Ray, Unreal).
- Portfolio showcasing realistic character work.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience with grooming tools (XGen, Ornatrix) is a plus.
- Knowledge of facial blendshapes and FACS-based workflows.
- Background in traditional art or sculpture is highly valued.
- Leadership experience in a production environment.
