Job Description

As a Senior Power BI Engineer, you will leverage your deep knowledge and your experience with BI application migration to build and maintain scalable, secure, and reliable BI solutions. You will collaborate closely with architects, engineers, and operations teams to deliver high-quality cloud-based solutions.

- 10+ years total experience with 5+ years of hands-on experience in Power BI development, including DAX, Power Query, and data modeling.
- Knowledge withdata modeling, schema design, and Big Query optimization
- Proficiency with Google Cloud Platform Data Engineering services
- Knowledge of data visualization best practices and UI/UX principles for BI solutions.
- Proficiency in scripting languages like SQL, Python for data transformation.
- Experience with performance tuning and optimization of BI dashboards and reports.
- A strong Individual contributor with analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills to collaborate with stakeholders and present data insights effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

- Experience or Knowledge with Web Focus 8 or Business Objects BI tools
- Familiarity withREST APIs and integrating external data sourcesinto Power BI.
- Power BIcertificationor advanced training.
- Knowledge ofCI/CD and automation in BI development.
- Design, develop, and maintaininteractive Power BI dashboards and reports.
- Build and managedata models, DAX calculations, and ETL processesfor reporting and analytics.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements andtranslate data needsinto scalable BI solutions.
- Optimizeperformance of Power BI reports and dashboardsto ensure efficiency and usability.
- Advise and implementbest practices in data visualization, report design, and user experiencewith Power BI
- Work withSQL databases, data warehouses, and cloud-based BI toolsto extract and transform data.
- Ensuredata integrity, governance, and securityin all reporting solutions.
- Provide guidance and mentorship tojunior BI developers.
- Stay up to date with the latestPower BI advancementsto enhance reporting capabilities.
- Work closely with cross functional applications to provide hands on help with the migrations from legacy BI tools to Power BI
