We are currently seeking an experienced professional to join our team in the role of Risk and Control Analyst Business: Inlt Wealth & Premier Banking Principal Responsibilities - Participate in validating the design and operating effectiveness of the key controls through inspection, inquiry, observation, sampling, re-performance and recalculation. - Participate in the review of risks and key controls through end-to-end process walkthroughs, events or thematic reviews, data-driven reviews or issue read across, and evidence reviews. - Participate in activities to help ensure control assessments are accurate, effective, comply with procedures and templates, and meet quality control requirements. - Assist with the provision of specialist risk and control knowledge and insights - Identify trends to anticipate future developments in the risk and control environment - Support the challenging of poor, inefficient or excessive controls, related tasks and behaviours - Help identify trends to anticipate future developments in the risk and control environment - Provide MI's and reports that are accurate and shared as per agreed timelines - Ensure a consistent application of solutions across GPB entities, leveraging best practice, and driving appropriate read-across to other entities when issues arise Qualifications - Good understanding of operational risk and controls, preferably gained through experience in front line and risk roles - A good understanding of the Group's Operational Risk Framework - Strong interpersonal skills and stakeholder management, including the ability to influence senior stakeholders - Proven problem-solving skills with ability to consider alternative and lateral solutions - Highly developed and effective presentation, interpersonal and communication skills - Independent and able to work under minimal supervisio - Knowledge of the changing regulatory environment - Strong Excel (particularly large data sets / modelling) and report production You'll achieve more at HSBC HSBC is an equal opportunity employer committed to building a culture where all employees are valued, respected and opinions count.
