What will you drive?

Policy Advocacy and Stakeholder Engagement:

- Develop and implement advocacy strategies to engage with central and state governments, regulators, and other key stakeholders to promote CARS24's interests.
- Represent CARS24 in public policy forums, meetings with policymakers, and industry associations to ensure the company's perspective is represented in all regulatory matters.
- Draft policy briefs, position papers, and submissions for government consultations on emerging issues in the automotive, technology, financial services, and e-commerce sectors.

Policy Research and Analysis:

- Monitor and conduct thorough research on policy issues, emerging regulatory frameworks, and government initiatives that impact business operations, compliance, and strategic objectives.
- Prepare regular reports and updates on public policy developments, summarizing key policy trends, risks, and opportunities for senior leadership.
- Keep abreast of developments in areas such as FDI, e-commerce, trade policy, taxation, labour laws, environmental regulations, and data protection laws.
- Assess the implications of new or evolving laws and regulations and advise internal teams on compliance and adaptation strategies.

Cross-functional Collaboration:

- Collaborate with legal, compliance, business strategy, and operations teams to ensure that public policy considerations are integrated into business planning and decision-making processes.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to align public policy strategies with business goals, ensuring coherent and effective advocacy.
- Support leadership in responding to public policy challenges and opportunities, providing strategic counsel on regulatory affairs.

Who are we looking for?

- Qualification: Advanced degree (MPP, MA, MSc., LLB, or MBA) from a Tier-1 or Tier-2 college.
- Experience: 3-5 years in policy advocacy, government & regulatory affairs.
- Skills: Strong network and experience with ministries (MoRTH, Commerce, Finance), NITI Aayog, and regulatory bodies.
- Expertise: In-depth understanding of public policy, legislative processes, and business regulations.
- Preferred: Background in automotive, technology, or e-commerce sectors.
- Additional: Knowledge of FDI, taxation, competition law, trade policy, and consumer protection laws.
