Job Description Role Overview: We are looking for a dynamic and accountable Technical Project Manager with a solid foundation in Java application development, proven experience in Trade Surveillance, and excellent communication skills to collaborate effectively with stakeholders, especially in Australia. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing end-to-end delivery of technology projects in the financial domain, ensuring compliance, quality, and timely execution. Key Responsibilities: Project & Stakeholder Management: - Lead and manage multiple technical projects with a focus on trade surveillance systems. - Engage with Australian stakeholders and global teams to gather requirements, provide updates, and manage expectations. - Ensure project milestones are met with high quality and within timelines. - Maintain clear documentation and communication throughout the project lifecycle. Technical Oversight: - Leverage past hands-on experience in Java application development to guide technical teams. - Participate in design reviews, code walkthroughs, and solution architecture discussions. - Ensure technical feasibility and alignment with business goals. Domain Expertise Trade Surveillance: - Drive implementation and enhancement of trade surveillance platforms. - Collaborate with compliance and risk teams to define surveillance rules and alerts. - Ensure systems meet regulatory standards (e.g., MiFID II, Dodd-Frank, MAR). - Analyze trading patterns and support investigations into potential market abuse. Leadership & Accountability: - Demonstrate ownership and accountability in project delivery and team performance. - Foster a culture of transparency, responsibility, and continuous improvement. - Mentor team members and promote best practices in project execution and communication.
