Remote Dispatcher

Company: Long Road Transportation (US-based) Location: Remote Job Type: Full-time / Independent Contractor Industry: Drayage Transportation Experience Required: Minimum 2 years (Open for training for those with no drayage experience) Responsibilities: - Plan, organize and coordinate container removal (drayage) operations to ensure timely removal and delivery of containers. - Ensure on-time delivery by optimizing routes and adhering to industry regulations and requirements (USA). - Interact effectively with drivers, port services, warehouses and customers. - Track container movement and update statuses in the dispatching system in real time. - Optimize routes to improve efficiency and reduce costs. - Resolve operational issues including delays, equipment shortages and driver inquiries. - Track and manage downtime, demurrage and other charges to minimize them. - Prepare accurate and timely reports on operations and performance indicators. Requirements: - Preferably with practical experience in OTR, freight forwarding or as a container dispatcher in the USA, Australia or Canada. - Preferably with deep knowledge of port operations, container shipping logistics and transport legislation (USA). - Excellent communication and problem solving skills. - English proficiency at level C1/C2. - Experience with dispatching software and the Microsoft Office package. - Active, self-organized team player. - Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including early shifts and weekends when needed. Working conditions: - Full-time remote. Zoom attendance required. - Monday - Friday (6:00 AM - 4:00 PM PST) - Salary starts at $800 USD per month or higher depending on actual experience
