Job Title Senior R D Manager - Energy Storage Systems ESS BESS Location Sonipat Haryana Employment Type Full-time On-site Role Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Senior R D Manager to lead the research development and validation of advanced Energy Storage Systems ESS and Battery Energy Storage Systems BESS at iPower Batteries The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in high-voltage lithium-ion systems battery pack architecture and BMS design driving product innovation from concept to commercialisation Key Responsibilities Lead the R D team in designing developing and optimizing high-voltage ESS and BESS solutions for industrial commercial and renewable applications Oversee new product development NPD from concept prototype design and validation to pilot production and field testing Define and validate battery pack architecture cell selection thermal management and safety systems for large-format energy storage applications Supervise BMS hardware and firmware development including communication protocols CAN RS485 UART Modbus etc and system integration Conduct testing and performance validation of lithium-ion batteries modules and systems electrical mechanical and environmental Collaborate with cross-functional teams Production Quality Supply Chain and Sales to ensure technical feasibility cost efficiency and product reliability Lead efforts in IoT integration remote monitoring and data analytics for smart battery systems Prepare and review technical documentation including BOMs SOPs test reports and validation plans Stay abreast of emerging technologies in battery chemistry power electronics and renewable energy integration Mentor and develop junior R D engineers fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation Required Skills and Expertise Deep understanding of high-voltage ESS BESS system design up to 1500V DC Strong background in battery pack design integration and validation Expertise in BMS hardware and firmware SOC SOH estimation and communication protocols Proficiency in using laboratory and diagnostic tools such as DSO CRO DC-DC power supplies battery cyclers and environmental chambers Experience in thermal management systems and safety standards IEC UL IS Proven ability to manage complex R D projects suppliers and cross-functional coordination Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills Qualifications B Tech M Tech in Electrical Electronics or Mechanical Engineering Ph D preferred 8-12 years of experience in R D for lithium-ion batteries with at least 3-5 years in ESS BESS development Hands-on experience with cell characterization pack testing and system-level validation Knowledge of latest ESS technologies renewable integration and smart grid compatibilit Job Types Full-time Permanent Pay 100 000 00 - 150 000 00 per month Benefits Leave encashment Paid sick time Provident Fund Work Location In person
