the only U S airline in the top 155 TIME s award is based on three criteria employee satisfaction revenue growth and sustainability Delta s people-first culture continues to be recognized earning the airline a spot on Fortune s 100 Best Companies to Work For list for the fifth year Delta is the only airline included on the 2024 list Additionally Delta earned a coveted spot on Fast Company s list of the Most Innovative Companies climbing from its No 8 spot in 2023 to No 2 in the travel category The airline was recognized for its Wi-Fi revolution that is working to ensure the future of travel is connected About the Delta Technology Hub DTH Bangalore Delta has fast emerged as a customer-focused innovation-led technology-enabled business The Delta Technology Hub will contribute directly to these objectives About Delta Tech Hub Delta Air Lines NYSE DAL is the U S global airline leader in safety innovation reliability and customer experience Powered by our employees around the world Delta has for a decade led the airline industry in operational excellence while maintaining our reputation for award-winning customer service With our mission of connecting the people and cultures of the globe Delta strives to foster understanding across a diverse world and serve as a force for social good Delta has fast emerged as a customer-oriented innovation-led technology-driven business The Delta Technology Hub will contribute directly to these objectives It will sustain our long-term aspirations of delivering niche IP-intensive high-value and innovative solutions It supports various teams and functions across Delta and is an integral part of our transformation agenda working seamlessly with a global team to create memorable experiences for customers KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Build and maintain serverless applications using AWS services such as Lambda Step Functions API Gateway and EventBridge Develop and manage RESTful and GraphQL APIs to support aviation data services and integrations Write efficient reusable and well-documented Python code for backend services and automation Use AWS CDK to define and deploy infrastructure as code Implement and manage CI CD pipelines using GitLab for automated testing and deployment Ensure infrastructure is scalable secure and cost-optimized Set up and maintain monitoring logging and alerting using Amazon CloudWatch Troubleshoot and resolve issues in production and development environments Work closely with cross-functional teams including developers DevOps QA and product managers Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning reviews and retrospectives Stay up to date with the latest AWS services and features Proactively explore and recommend new tools frameworks and best practices to improve system performance and developer productivity Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Excellent communication skills both written and verbal Ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and Agile environments Demonstrated eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and tools High level of ownership and accountability in delivering quality solutions WHAT YOU NEED TO SUCCEED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS Bachelors degree in computer science Information Technology or a related field is required 23 years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering with a focus on AWS Proficiency in Python for backend development scripting and automation Experience with following AWS services Lambda S3 DynamoDB Step Functions API Gateway EventBridge SNS SQS IAM CDK Good understanding of RESTful and GraphQL API development and integration Familiarity with GitLab for version control and CI CD pipeline management Experience with Amazon CloudWatch for monitoring and logging Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code IaC principles and tools WHAT WILL GIVE YOU A COMPETITIVE EDGE PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AWS Certifications is a plus Good understanding of REST GraphQL API Familiarity with DevOps practices and integrating security into CI CD pipelines Contributions to open-source projects or active participation in developer communities Experience in aviation aerospace or transportation industry
