Quality Analyst

Job Description Designation : Quality Analyst Location : Gurugram, Haryana / Remotely Business/Functional Unit : Business Excellence & Quality Control (BEQC) Role Description The Quality Analyst deployed in our PrePress & Packaging Design department is responsible for ensuring the technical accuracy and quality of packaging designs before they go to print. This role involves meticulous review of design files, colour management, and adherence to prepress standards. The analyst works closely with design teams to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may affect print quality, ensuring that all packaging materials meet the company's high standards and client expectations. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in checking packaging design, be proficient in current industry-standard-requirements, and possess excellent problem-solving skills. Key Result Areas (KRAs) - Quality Control & Assurance: Ensure all packaging designs meet predefined quality standards and client requirements. - Process Improvement: Continuously identify and implement improvements in the design and production process to enhance quality and efficiency. - Technical Proficiency: Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant software and tools to ensure high-quality design outputs. - Compliance & Documentation: Adhere to industry regulations and maintain comprehensive documentation for all quality assurance activities. - Team Collaboration & Training: Work closely with the packaging team and provide feedback to enhance overall quality awareness and skills. - Text Verification: Inspect edited text before printing or publishing. - Quality Standards: Agree on standards and define clear quality methods for the team. - Control Systems: Establish and manage controls and documentation, including error analysis reports. - Checklist Creation: Develop a checklist in agreement with the department head to ensure task completion. - Performance Audits: Evaluate weaknesses and suggest improvements. - Artwork Inspection: Ensure artwork aligns with briefs and guidelines. - Management Support: Assist the Service Delivery Manager and management team as needed. - Deadline Adherence: Maintain focus on meeting deadlines, compile and update studio schedules, inform departments about project status, and manage workload distribution. - Performance Dashboard: Create a personal dashboard based on error logs and plan training to minimise mistakes. - ISO Compliance: Stay aware of ISO standards and keep a record of performance based on assigned tasks. Preferred Qualification & Technical Skills - Graduate in any stream. - A good standard of English, especially grammar and spelling. - Strong spoken and written communication skills. - Minimum 4 years of packaging industry experience. - Repro / Prepress Knowledge. Technical Skills - Experience with Adobe Acrobat DC/PRO, Illustrator, photoshop, and InDesign, for checking packaging designs. - Familiarity with prepress and printing software to ensure designs are print-ready and meet production standards. - Knowledge of colour management tools and software to maintain colour accuracy across different printing processes. - Ability to use Microsoft Office Suite for reporting, documentation, and communication. - Knowledge in Standard Proofreading marks with PDCA (PlanDoCheckAct) approach. - Knowledge of printing techniques.
