materials for the aerospace and defense general industrial medical and energy markets Position Summary PURPOSE OF POSITION Responsible for Global Performance Test Engineering for the Industrial Process centrifugal pump group to ensure high quality and consistency in global performance test operations Essential Responsibilities SCOPE AND MAGNITUDE MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Describe scope and magnitude in specific terms of project size budgets sales volume operational impact and personnel State formal education level work experience specialization required State additional professional technical skills or knowledge required Coach train and mentor global engineering and test personnel Review results of pump performance tests and discuss results with internal and external stakeholders Compile accurate global data on 1st pass test yield and lead improvement initiatives with Design Centers Provide 2nd line troubleshooting support for pump test failures Lead standardization of the company s global test programs test standards test data and standard work instructions Provide leadership and technical support in designing and improving test capability of Global IP test facilities Up to 50 Travel Domestic and International Education BS Engineering in Mechanical Eng and or Electrical Eng Experience 5 years of experience in the testing of pumps or equivalent Skills knowledge Knowledge of the testing and troubleshooting of centrifugal pumps vibration hydraulic Knowledge of test instrumentation measurement setup Head Flow Power Temperature Vibration Displacement Knowledge of a programming language Labview Visual Studio preferred Knowledge of calibration process procedures Interpersonal communication project management VBLSS skills Knowledge of pump manufacturing processes Knowledge of industry test standards including API ANSI ISO HI etc Creativity i e the ability to approach problems in non-traditional fashion Ability to effectively manage multiple projects and priorities Ability to identify barriers to success and find solutions working across the organization Effective written and verbal communication Position Requirements Coach train and mentor global
