We value top-notch collaboration and communication skills, both among internal teams and in how we interact with our user The Role As the Engineering Manager at HashiCorp, you will build and lead a high-performing team to achieve our vision of an enterprise-ready product across cloud and self-managed offerings. You will drive Engineering to deliver on feature requests and enhance functionality. This role will require productive collaboration with Design, Product, and other cross-functional partners to innovate toward true product-market fit. What You'll Do (responsibilities) - Recruit, mentor, and lead a diverse and high-performing engineering team. Foster an inclusive and collaborative team culture. - Drive the team to deliver on feature requests enhancing the product's capabilities. - Expand and enhance features, ensuring it remains a key differentiator for product. - Work closely with Design, Product, and other cross-functional teams to align on product vision and deliver innovative solutions. - Develop and refine robust processes to ensure high availability, scalability, and reliability of product. - Prioritize and address customer issues and feedback, continuously improving the customer experience. What You'll Need (basic Qualifications) - At least 10 years of engineering experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a management role. Experience leading diverse product engineering teams is highly preferred. - Strong background in cloud services and infrastructure. Proficiency in Go and familiarity with other programming languages (Python, Ruby) are beneficial. - Extensive experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and infrastructure as code (Terraform). - Demonstrated ability to tackle complex technical challenges and deliver innovative solutions. - Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with a focus on customer satisfaction and team success. - Proven track record of building and leading high-performing teams in a fast-paced environment.
