Category Lead Architect

Your role and responsibilities (Mandatory)

In this role, you will have the opportunity to lead defined service lines in the design and development of end-to-end lifecycle roadmaps and effective and efficient delivery of services together with a team of dedicated internal and external suppliers. Each day, you will be responsible to design, implement, and maintain the framework to deliver the services in scope, on time, within budget, and in line with the customer's expectations. You will also showcase your expertise by managing multiple third-party global vendor contracts to assure high service quality and optimizing the cost.

You will be mainly accountable for:

POSITION SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Service Strategy and Roadmap – Defines and maintains the vision for development process, ensuring alignment with business goals.
- Stakeholder Collaboration – Works closely with developers, architects, and business teams to modernize development processes
- Security and Compliance – Maintains security standards and ensures compliance with Information Security regulations.
- Technology Research & Adoption – Continuously explores emerging technologies, including AI and cloud computing to enhance development capabilities.
- Contract and Service Level Agreement (SLA) Management – Negotiates and oversees service agreements, ensuring vendors meet expectations.
- Cost Optimization – Works on budget management to ensure services are cost-effective while maintaining quality.
- Develops and maintains a forward-looking roadmap for Development, Test and Mobile Application Development services, aligned with ABB's digital transformation strategy
- Promotes platform modernization, including usage of cloud-native services, mobile frameworks, CI/CD, containerization, and AI-enhanced tooling
- Oversees the integration and performance of developer tools (e.g., Azure DevOps, GitHub, Docker, SonarQube, mobile SDKs, test automation frameworks)

Qualifications for the role (Mandatory)

- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or related field. Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., IT Management, Software Engineering, Business & IT) is a plus
- Certifications required : DevOps Foundation, Azure, AWS or GCP Certification, ITIL 4 Foundation
- Certifications required : DevOps Leader, SAFe, HashiCorp
