Job Title Commis II - Indian and Tandoor Cuisine Location Colva Alagoa resorts Position Summary We are seeking a passionate and skilled Commis II to join our culinary team This role focuses on Indian and Tandoor cuisine assisting in the preparation and presentation of high-quality dishes The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of traditional Indian cooking techniques particularly involving tandoor preparation Key Responsibilities Food Preparation Assist in the preparation of ingredients and dishes including marinating meats preparing dough and blending spices for authentic Indian recipes Cooking Techniques Utilize tandoor ovens and other traditional cooking methods to prepare a variety of dishes ensuring consistency and quality Menu Support Collaborate with the head chef to develop and refine menu items contributing ideas for specials and seasonal dishes Quality Control Ensure all dishes are prepared to the restaurant s standards and maintain cleanliness in the kitchen Inventory Management Assist in monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies and help with ordering as needed Team Collaboration Work closely with other kitchen staff supporting a positive and efficient work environment Health and Safety Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines maintaining a clean and organized workspace Qualifications Culinary diploma or equivalent experience in a professional kitchen Previous experience in Indian cuisine or tandoor cooking preferred Strong knowledge of spices and Indian cooking techniques Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks Team player with good communication skills Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays as needed Benefits Competitive salary Opportunities for professional development and training Employee discounts Other benefits your restaurant offers Job Type Full-time Pay 12 355 70 - 16 000 00 per month Schedule Fixed shift Work Location In person
