Structural Engineering is responsible for the design and analysis of airport infrastructure projects This position involves developing safe efficient and sustainable structural solutions for terminals runways and support facilities The Lead is responsible for conducting preliminary design calculations preparing detailed drawings and ensuring compliance with relevant codes and standards This role requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural designs into broader project plans effectively Additionally the Lead is tasked with performing site inspections and assessments to ensure quality control during construction phases Responsibilities Project Leadership Lead and manage structure design of complex mixed-use design projects from inception to completion ensuring adherence to design standards budgets and timelines Design Management Evaluate and review structural designs drawings and specifications for compliance with building codes standards and project requirements Identify potential design issues and propose innovative solutions to optimize structural performance and efficiency Conduct thorough structural analyses to ensure designs meet safety and performance criteria Coordination Collaborate with external consultants and internal project teams to ensure seamless integration of structural designs into overall project plans Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to coordinate design changes and resolve any conflicts that may arise during the construction process Provide support in the development of interdisciplinary coordination drawings Value Engineering Undertake value engineering for all projects to optimize the design proposed by consultants Communication Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders conveying complex technical information in a clear and concise manner Prepare comprehensive design review reports highlighting key findings recommendations and potential areas of improvement Foster open communication channels to facilitate collaboration among project team members Regulatory Compliance Stay abreast of relevant building codes industry standards and regulatory requirements affecting structural design Ensure that structural designs adhere to all applicable codes and standards Ensure that design projects comply with zoning regulations local codes and planning guidelines Quality Assurance Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to guarantee the accuracy and reliability of structural designs Perform periodic site visits to assess the implementation of structural designs and address any on-site challenges Stakeholder Engagement Engage with community members government agencies and stakeholders to gather input build consensus and address concerns Design Excellence Demonstrate a good sense of structural design and ability to coordinate with local and international consultants Team Mentorship Provide guidance and mentorship to junior designers fostering their professional growth and development Research and Analysis Conduct design research and analysis to inform design decisions incorporating best practices emerging trends and sustainable design principles Sustainability Incorporate sustainable design principles and environmental considerations into master plans Bachelors degree in Civil or Structural Engineering Master s degree in Structural Engineering 12 - 15 years of experience in Airport Infrastructure or Large scale Construction Projects Qualifications Educational Background Bachelor s degree in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering A Master s degree or relevant certifications such as Professional Engineer PE is good to have Work Experience 12 years of experience in in structural design or engineering preferably within the aviation or construction industry Experience in using design software like STAADPRO ETABS AutoCAD or Revit is preferred
