Job Description Job Title: Accountant (CA) Key Responsibilities: 1. Financial Reporting and Compliance: * Prepare and review accurate financial statements in compliance with regulatory standards. * Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns and financial reports. * Maintain up-to-date knowledge of accounting and tax regulations. 2. Tax Preparation and Planning: * Prepare Canadian business and personal tax returns in CCH TaxPrep software 3. CaseWare Management: * Prepare working papers and financial statements using CaseWare. * Ensure consistency and accuracy in all CaseWare-related documentation. 4. General Accounting Duties: * Process and reconcile accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger entries. * Conduct financial analysis to identify trends and variances. * Support month-end and year-end closing activities. 5. Software Proficiency: * Utilize MS Office tools, especially Excel, for data analysis and reporting. * Work efficiently with PDF files for document preparation and sharing. * Proficiency in Canadian CCH Tax Prep and CaseWare is required. Qualifications: * Chartered Accountant (CA) designation is mandatory. * Proven experience in accounting, auditing, and tax preparation. * Advanced skills in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and working with PDFs. * Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills. * Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
