Job Title: Manual Tester (1–2 Years Experience) Location: T. Nagar, Chennai Employment Type: Full-Time Experience Required: 1–2 years Department: Quality Assurance / Software Testing About the Role: We are looking for a detail-oriented and proactive Manual Tester to join our QA team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in testing web, mobile, or enterprise applications, with a strong understanding of software development and QA methodologies. You'll be responsible for identifying bugs, ensuring product quality, and collaborating closely with developers and business analysts to deliver reliable, high-quality software. Key Responsibilities: - Design, develop, and execute test cases, test scenarios, and test plans based on project requirements. - Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT). - Identify, document, and track software defects using tools like JIRA, Bugzilla, or similar. - Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to clarify requirements and ensure test coverage. - Participate in test planning, review meetings, and quality discussions. - Verify bug fixes and perform re-testing and sanity checks. - Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and documentation. Required Skills & Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - 1–2 years of hands-on experience in manual software testing. - Good understanding of SDLC, STLC, and Defect Life Cycle. - Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies. - Experience using test management and bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Zephyr). - Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. - Basic knowledge of SQL and ability to perform data validation will be an added advantage.
