Lead Scientist- Wrap Carry Location Bangalore India Company Pakka Limited About Pakka Limited At Pakka Ltd we are committed to sustainable innovation creating eco-friendly packaging solutions that align with the needs of modern businesses With over 40 years of manufacturing excellence and a strong R D foundation we have been revolutionizing in three major segments namely Wrap Carry Food Services Flexible packaging Join us to shape the future of packaging and make a meaningful impact Mission of the Role Develop next-generation wrap and carry paper technologies that combine superior performance with sustainability enabling customers to move to regenerative solutions in global food service and retail applications Key Responsibilities Drive innovation in compostable OGR WR-based wraps through advanced coatings and performance enhancements Translate market and competitor insights into clear R D and product development priorities Lead prototyping pilot trials and scale-up to deliver commercially viable solutions Optimize coating and forming processes while ensuring quality efficiency and regulatory compliance Identify and protect patentable innovations to strengthen Pakka s IP portfolio Collaborate with internal teams partners and external labs for testing validation and commercialization Champion sustainability and support commercial teams with technical guidance and customer engagement Qualification Master s or Ph D degree in one of the following fields Materials Science Paper Science Polymer Science Polymer Chemistry Chemical Engineering Experience 10 years in R D or product development in paper coatings or packaging solutions Proven track record in developing sustainable or bio-based materials Hands-on experience with prototyping pilot trials and scale-up Familiarity with regulatory compliance FDA EU for food-contact materials Skills Expertise in paper coatings barrier technologies and material testing Strong background in polymer and paper processing Knowledge of IP creation and protection Ability to work cross-functionally with R D production and sustainability teams Strong analytical project management and communication skills What We Offer This role offers the opportunity to lead innovative sustainable packaging solutions within an innovation-focused work culture supported by state-of-the-art R D facilities and resources You will enjoy a competitive salary with performance-based incentives comprehensive healthcare benefits and a strong focus on work-life balance The position also provides ample professional development opportunities to help you grow and excel in your career To Apply If you re passionate about driving innovation and shaping the future of sustainable packaging send your CV and cover letter to Join us to shape the future of sustainable packaging
