Job Description Job title: Design Engineer/ Sr. Design Engineer - SPM Experience: 3 to 8 years Qualifications: BE / B/Tech Mechanical or Equivalent Job Location: Pune Must have skills: Sheet metal design/ SPM / Material Handling / SolidWorks Job Responsibilities - Understand the requirements and work with different teams to implement new ideas. - Make design concept and detail engineering - Design considering manufacturability, cost, performance and durability. - Conduct design review to improve product performance and resolve technical issues. - Knowledge in GDT, stack up analysis, different industrial standards like ANSI, JIS, DIN etc. - Close co-ordination with customers and supplier. - Good knowledge in Tooling, fixture and jigs would be a plus. - Knowledge of manufacturing / production / assembly processes would be a plus. - Hands on experience in various manufacturing processes would be a plus. Desired Skillsets - Good in engineering mechanics, strength of materials theory of machines. - A good grasp of engineering and design principles - 3 +years of Core experience in Special Purpose Machines, Machine Design, Material handling, Packaging Machines, Conveyors, Sheet metal design etc - Good understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic. - Knowledge in GDT, stack up analysis. - Good knowledge on SolidWorks as a 3d modelling software. - Good communication skills and good team working skills. - Willing to travel overseas for short and long assignments. - Basic understanding of Information Security Management system
