SYSTRA is one of the world s leading engineering and consulting groups specializing in public transport and mobility solutions For over 65 years the Group has been committed to helping cities and regions develop by creating improving and modernizing their transport infrastructure and systems Context In India SYSTRA is an international consulting and engineering company operating in the fields of Metros High Speed Rail Railways Roads Buildings Urban planning and Water Environment for public and private organizations Our engineers work with passion to deliver the most reliable cost-effective and made-to measures solutions allowing end users to move seamlessly SYSTRAs unique expertise is backed with a reputation built through technical excellence delivered on projects Thanks to our know-how of our employees spread across India we are present at all stages from upstream studies to operation and maintenance We provide a comprehensive solution to manage all kinds of missions Detailed Design Consultant Project Management Independent checking services SYSTRA Indias comprehensive know-how and expertise in Railways provides a wide spectrum of solutions for any challenge Building a new rail link doubling the capacity gauge conversion upgrading a network improving the performance of existing lines etc Our extensive experience encompasses Bridges station buildings Depots Earthwork Track Works Power Supply and Transmission Signaling Telecommunications Rolling Stock Utilities diversion and yard re-modelling etc Our services cover the entire life cycle of the project implementation Currently we are bidding for Metro Railway projects across India The position of Resident Engineer Civil is the key position in these BIDs Missions Main Duties On-Site Supervision Quality Control Directly supervise all civil construction activities e g excavation deep foundations concrete works structural erection waterproofing within the station ensuring strict adherence to design specifications drawings and quality standards Method Statement Review Approval Review and approve contractors method statements work plans and technical submittals ensuring proposed construction procedures are safe efficient and compliant Progress Monitoring Reporting Closely monitor construction progress against the project schedule identify potential delays or issues and prepare daily weekly monthly progress reports for stakeholders Technical Issue Resolution Serve as the primary point of contact for technical queries on-site providing immediate solutions or escalating complex issues to the design team for resolution Safety Environmental Compliance Enforce rigorous health safety and environmental regulations on the construction site conducting regular inspections and ensuring all works are carried out safely Inspection Documentation Conduct regular site inspections witness tests and maintain comprehensive records of all construction activities including daily diaries inspection reports and as-built documentation Profile Skills Graduate Degree in Civil Engineering Minimum of 15 years experience in UG Tunnel construction in Metro Railway and worked as Resident Engineer Sr Engineer for a period of 3 years OR At least 5 years service in Sr Scale above in Civil Engineering Department or in equivalent grade in Indian Railways RITES IRCON RVNL or equivalent grades in Konkan Railway MRVC DFCCIL any JVs SPVs with Ministry of Railways any Metro Rail Corporation either individually or combined We commit to put people who join us at the heart of improving transportation and urban infrastructure efficiency As we are growing this is time to be a part of this challenging adventure Its not a job - its a career
