Role Overview: We are looking for a proactive Site Engineer to oversee site execution of steel building projects. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth operations, quality control, and timely delivery while coordinating between design, fabrication, and erection teams.Key Responsibilities 1. Site Supervision and Execution Oversee day-to-day on-site construction activities for steel building projects. Ensure proper implementation of project plans, drawings, and technical specifications. Monitor the erection and alignment of steel structures according to design guidelines. Coordinate and manage the work of contractors, subcontractors, and labor teams. Ensure site safety protocols and compliance with industry regulations. 2. Coordination Between Teams Act as the liaison between design, fabrication, and erection teams to ensure smooth workflow. Communicate project requirements and resolve technical issues on time. Collaborate with the project manager to ensure materials, equipment, and manpower are available as per the project schedule. 3. Quality Control and Assurance Inspect materials, welding, fabrication, and erection work to ensure adherence to quality standards. Conduct regular site inspections to detect and resolve any defects or discrepancies. Ensure compliance with industry codes, company policies, and project-specific guidelines. 4. Project Planning and Reporting Assist in preparing project schedules and ensuring timely completion of milestones. Track daily, weekly, and monthly progress and report updates to the project manager. Maintain accurate records of work executed, material consumption, and manpower utilization. 5. Problem-Solving and Risk Management Identify potential delays, material shortages, or technical issues and propose solutions proactively. Handle site-related conflicts and ensure minimal disruption to ongoing activities. Implement corrective actions to keep the project on track. 6. Safety and Compliance Ensure all site activities follow safety protocols and regulatory requirements. Conduct toolbox talks and safety briefings for workers and contractors. Minimize risks by enforcing proper use of protective gear and equipment. Required Skills and Competencies 1. Technical Knowledge Strong understanding of steel structures, fabrication processes, and erection techniques. Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, and engineering standards. Knowledge of relevant codes, safety regulations, and quality control procedures. 2. Project Management Skills Ability to plan, organize, and execute tasks efficiently. Experience in preparing schedules and meeting deadlines. Coordinating multiple teams and resources effectively. 3.
