The Buyer will be responsible for planning, selecting, and purchasing jewellery pieces from the brand's collections, customer profile, and commercial objectives. This role requires a strong understanding of luxury retail, market trends, and product performance to ensure the right balance between creativity and profitability. Key Responsibilities - Develop and execute seasonal buying strategies in line with brand vision, sales targets, and market trends. - Analyze sales data, customer feedback, and market performance to inform buying decisions. - Manage inventory levels to ensure optimal stock rotation and availability across stores and online channels. - Collaborate with the design and production teams to provide input on trends, pricing, and product development. - Source and negotiate with vendors and suppliers to ensure the best quality, cost, and delivery timelines. - Prepare regular reports on sales performance, product mix, and margin analysis. - Attend trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events to stay informed on trends and competitor activity. - Work closely with merchandising, marketing, and retail teams to align product strategy with brand storytelling and visual presentation. Qualifications & Experience - Bachelor's degree in Business, Fashion Merchandising, or a related field. - Minimum 35 years of experience as a Buyer or Assistant Buyer, ideally within fine jewellery, luxury fashion, or accessories. - Strong analytical skills and proficiency in retail math, Excel, and inventory systems. - Excellent negotiation, communication, and relationship management skills. - Deep understanding of the luxury consumer and market trends. - Ability to balance creativity with commercial awareness. Personal Attributes - Refined aesthetic sensibility and appreciation for craftsmanship. - Highly organized with strong attention to detail. - Collaborative and proactive approach to teamwork. - Passionate about fine jewelery and the luxury retail space.
