Chargebee is expanding the Salesforce Integration team. You will be a key member of the engineering team driving the initiatives to create an immersive and expansive integration of Chargebee with Salesforce CRM. You will also own the Salesforce CPQ Integration.

In this role, you would partner with Product Management, Stability, and other cross-functional teams to create an experience that will make us the market leader in the enterprise subscription business.

Roles and Responsibilities:

- Participate & contribute in cross-functional forums and make opinionated decisions on architecture choices, and API specs to build the right platform for our customers.
- Come up with technical design for features, document various decisions taken, and communicate them to all stakeholders.
- Ideate on emerging technologies, independently test & build pilots for adoption based on use cases at Chargebee, and demonstrate them to the broader engineering community for adoption.
- Review and evaluate feature requests, and debate their relevance with stakeholders such as the Product manager and UI design team. Aid the Product Manager in rescoping the feature requests.
- Designing, coding/implementing & testing the stability and functionality of Salesforce applications.
- Own the quality of the product by being hands-on in writing clean code, setting up GitHub flows or CI / CD to ensure code quality
- Own the code reviews and unblock others in the team
- Work on Customer reported issues and bring them to closure
- Owning the release of Managed packages and integrations with Salesforce packaged releases.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders across the organization - product, design, QA, etc - and take complete ownership of releasing new features.
- Proactively identify & resolve application performance concerns.
- Work independently with developers, cloud engineers, product managers, engineering managers, application support (L2), solution consultants (L1) and customers
- Mentor & coach engineers, lead developer awareness programs and conduct learning sessions for them.
- Champion adoption of Agile practices with the team.

Must Haves:

- 6 - 10 years of experience with Salesforce development and experience working with large teams in distributed product engineering setups.
- Experience building scalable, reliable, and high-performance applications on Salesforce
- Strong knowledge and proficiency in Apex, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components (LWC), JavaScript, CSS, MYSQL, or any RDBMS.
- A passion for writing high-quality code and upholding best engineering, security, and design practices.
- Good at following common code quality and security best practices and practices recommended by Salesforce. Good understanding of secure coding concepts and ability to interpret security reports like Checkmarx, as suggested by Salesforce.
- Experience integrating with third-party platforms is an added advantage.
- Experience creating/supporting production software/systems and a proven track record of identifying and resolving performance bottlenecks.
- Ability to identify problems with requirements, identify alternatives, and help your team navigate these issues. Able to distinguish between a solution and a hack and make the right trade-offs with the help of others in the team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written; ability to condense complicated scenarios into simple, risk-based assessments
- Be an effective team player with experience in coaching and supporting junior team members
- Experience in operating using Agile methodologies & use of JIRA / confluence

Nice to haves:

- Salesforce developer/architect/administrator certifications
- Experience working on Sales Cloud / CPQ specifically on Opportunities / Contracts is an added advantage
- Experience in submitting managed packages for Salesforce AppExchange review
- Experience and knowledge of development in Java and Microservices
- Working understanding of Revenue Growth management (billing and subscription) domain
