Job Overview We are seeking a talented and detail-oriented Designer who specializes in setting printing files for printing machines and creating designs for various FMCG brands. The ideal candidate should have a strong command of CorelDRAW and other design tools, a good understanding of pre-press processes, and the ability to ensure high-quality print-ready files. The role involves collaborating with the production, marketing, and branding teams to deliver accurate, appealing, and brand-consistent designs. Candidates should possess creativity, technical expertise, and precision to meet client expectations and ensure flawless execution during printing. Key Responsibilities 1. File Preparation for Printing Set up and prepare print-ready files as per printing machine specifications. Ensure correct sizing, layout, resolution, and bleed settings for all designs. Adjust and optimize files to meet the printing quality standards. Handle color correction and image adjustments to match brand guidelines. 2. Designing for FMCG Brands Create visually appealing and brand-compliant packaging designs for FMCG products. Work closely with the marketing team to understand the design requirements for labels, packaging, flyers, banners, and promotional materials. Conceptualize designs that enhance product visibility and appeal to the target audience. Maintain a consistent brand identity across all design outputs. 3. Collaboration with Printing & Production Teams Coordinate with the printing operators to ensure smooth workflow and minimize errors. Troubleshoot design or file issues that arise during printing. Provide guidance to the production team regarding special finishing techniques, color matching, and material selection. Review test prints and final outputs for quality assurance. 4. Quality Control & Error-Free Outputs Check files thoroughly before sending them for printing. Ensure there are no design errors, missing fonts, or incorrect layouts. Maintain high attention to detail to avoid reprints and wastage. Keep updated knowledge of printing technologies, inks, and materials. 5. Project Coordination & Time Management Handle multiple design projects simultaneously. Prioritize tasks to ensure timely delivery of files and printed materials. Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to meet tight deadlines. Maintain accurate records of design revisions, approvals, and finalized files. Required Skills & Competencies 1. Technical Skills Proficiency in CorelDRAW (mandatory). Knowledge of Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign will be an added advantage. Strong understanding of pre-press, color management, and print production processes. Experience in packaging design, labeling, and FMCG branding. Familiarity with different printing techniques such as offset, digital, flexographic, and screen printing. 2. Creative & Analytical Skills Ability to translate client briefs into creative, practical, and print-ready designs. Good sense of typography, color theory, and layout balance. Strong problem-solving skills for resolving printing and design-related issues. Ability to work within brand guidelines while introducing innovative design concepts. 3. Soft Skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy. Strong time management and organizational abilities. Good communication skills for coordinating with team members, vendors, and clients.
