What we are looking for Role: MS SQL DBA Experience Range: 8 10 Years (ONLY) Mode of Interview : Friday Online Interview Location : Kolkata, Bangalore, Chennai Must Have: - 4+ years of strong experience as a Seniors/Lead SQL Server DBA in a production(Cluster & Standalone) environment. - Good knowledge of SQL Server 2012, 2014, 2016, 2017, and 2019 versions. - Good understanding of Install, configure, and maintain SQL Server instances on-premises. - Design, develop, and maintain databases, tables, indexes, views, stored procedures, and other database objects. - Optimize database performance by tuning queries, indexes, and server configurations. - Scripting Knowledge specially on T-SQL & PowerShell will be added advantage. - Strong command of SQL Migration On-prem to On-prem, On-Prem to Cloud services (AWS/AZURE IAAS/PAAS). - Strong understanding of database backup and recovery, disaster recovery, and high availability solutions. Ensure database availability and disaster recovery by implementing backup and recovery plans and performing regular backups and restores. - Configure, manage & troubleshoot issue related to Replication(Snapshot & Transactional replication). - Configure, manage & troubleshoot issue related to High availability technique like Always-On Availability technology. - Strong knowledge in database security by managing user access, permissions, and authentication. - Identify and resolve database-related issues and incidents by troubleshooting problems and performing root cause analysis. - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application development and deployment. - Develop and implement database automation and scripting to streamline processes and reduce manual effort. - Familiarity with cloud-based database platforms such as Azure/AWS will be an added advantage. - Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams. - Maintain documentation and keep up-to-date with industry trends and best practices. - Leading the team level initiatives/process improvements/Automation. - Coaching, Mentoring & recruiting engineers/analysts in the team and facilitating continuous learning, improvement in technical excellence for yourself & the team. - Knowledge in ITIL Incident/Request/Change/release management. Good to Have: - Basic/advance Knowledge in Snowflakes will be added advantage but not mandatory. Essential: - Flexible to work in 24*7 environment - Flexible to work on weekends - Good communication skills to deal with customer - End-to-End knowledge of activities being done Minimum Qualification: 15 years of full-time education Minimum percentile of 50% in 10th, 12th, UG & PG (if applicable)
