Job Description Job Title: Technical Head & Head of Delivery AFT Division Level: Senior Associate / Principal Associate Location: Chennai About the Role We are looking for a technically strong and delivery-focused professional to lead our Accounting, Finance & Tax (AFT) Division. The role combines two key responsibilities: - Technical Head Providing technical guidance in GST, Direct Tax, Ind-AS/IFRS, accounting & financial statements / reporting. - Head of Delivery Managing day-to-day client delivery, quality, and team coordination. Our clients include US / Europe-based Global Capability Centers (GCCs) and Tier-1/Tier-2 manufacturing companies in global supply chains. Key Responsibilities Technical Responsibilities - Provide expert guidance on GST, Income Tax, Ind-AS, IFRS, and Indian GAAP. - Review financial statements, tax workings, GST reconciliations, and compliance reports. - Help teams solve technical queries and complex client issues. - Keep the team updated on regulatory changes. Delivery & Client Responsibilities - Oversee daily delivery of accounting, tax, and compliance work. - Ensure accuracy, timely submissions, and high-quality deliverables. - Allocate work, manage workloads, and resolve operational challenges. - Review deliverables before submission to clients. - Client facing and relationship building with key representatives Department Queries & Liaisoning - Handle notices, queries, and communications with GST and Income Tax departments. - Coordinate with statutory auditors, client auditors, and internal teams. - Prepare and review responses to department queries. Training & Team Development - Conduct internal training on GST, tax, and accounting standards. - Mentor team members to strengthen technical and delivery capabilities. Process & Quality Improvement - Implement review checks, SOPs, and documentation standards. - Improve efficiency in month-end close, reconciliations, and compliance processes.
